An exhibition of paintings
by Atalanti Voulgari Stephanou. Opening Wednesday 4 March 2008 at
7.30 in the evening.
Returning to her home
country of Cyprus, Atalanti's solo show is based on the many colours and images
often found in dreams. The colourful expressive form used in her work,
goes beyond the canvases boundaries, encouraging the imagination to take you
further into the dreams.

'50 by 50 by 50'
with 50 Artists participating.
50 by 50
by 50 is a unique concept for a group
exhibition being held in Cyprus and the title itself would indicate that this
exhibition evolves around the figure 50. Not only is this true in the number
sense, but also with its theme being set to Figurative (but as in the Human
Form.)
To have 50
artists taking part in a group exhibition with a set theme at a commercial
gallery is in itself a first for Cyprus. The dimensions of the works are
50 x 50cm created in a range of different mediums. Participants come from a wide
range of backgrounds that includes a number of well-established Cypriot and
foreign artists as well as several emerging ones, some of whom have already
began to make a name for themselves within the local art world.
The exhibition will be opened
by the Mayor of Limassol, Mr Andrea Christou on Thursday 5th June at
7.30 p.m.
